On June 12, 2021, the Windwood Events team had the honor of helping Ashton & Clayton create their dream wedding on the farm. Their beautiful wedding day began with Ashton in Windwood’s bridal suite. She spent the morning having her hair and makeup done. Ashton had some special people with her that morning, including her mother, who helped Ashton apply some finishing touches to her wedding day look.

Ashton and Clayton chose to have a first look before their intimate ceremony. First looks have always been my favorite part of wedding days because they are a truly special time between just the bride and groom. I mean, come on, just look at Ashton’s reaction to seeing her man!! The couple soaked in every moment before their ceremony under our lady banks. At 6 PM, Ashton’s mom walked her down the aisle to Clayton.

After the ceremony, the reception was held inside our Courtyard. The couple was surrounded by their closest friends and family. The decor featured delicate cafe lights that illuminated the ivory table clothes and highlighted the stunning timeless florals from Taylor Floral Designs. It was a special time of love and laughter as the first dance, mother and son, and father and daughter dance swept across the dance floor! Their menu, provided by Kathy G Catering, consisted of a traditional southern pallet. All beautifully displayed on a buffet.

All the guests got to be a part of the laughter and memories of the evening. Everyone had the chance to satisfy their sweet tooth with cake from daughter’s bakery! YUM!!! The couple incorporated their furry children with personalized koozies and mini-figures on the bride’s cake. I will definitely be stealing this idea when I get married! The couple ended the night with a classic rose petal send-off. From everyone at Windwood Equestrian, we wish you the best in all your many years of marriage ahead.
