Meet Alexandra Ann and William August, or as we know them, AlexAnn and Bill. These two have been lifelong friends of the Upton’s. William and Bill grew up together because their dads, Dr. Collignon and William, are best friends. Insider Info: William Arden has traveled with Dr. Collignon and his wife Betty and enjoys spending time with them. When Bill proposed to AlexAnn, he knew exactly who to call for their wedding. In other words, it just came naturally to have their wedding here at Windwood Equestrian, surrounded by everyone they love.
AlexAnn and Bill had asked Arden to photograph their special day (and of course, Arden happily accepted). One of Arden’s favorite things to photography is wedding day details. AlexAnn and Bill’s details told a story. From their custom crest on their invitations to their custom shortbread cookies highlighting everyone’s attire for the day, each detail helped to make the day one for everyone to remember.
AlexAnn first told Arden about the unique first look she had planned during one of their first conversations regarding the wedding. You see, AlexAnn wanted to have one of the groomsmen dress up in an old wedding gown and surprise her soon-to-be husband. After that, Alex provided the dress, the groomsmen happily obliged, and Arden set up the rest. We headed to the front porch and prepared Bill for his first look with his future wife (or so he thought). It was time for the first look; Bill took a deep breath, turned around, and found one of his best friends standing there all in white. When it was all said and done, many laughs were shared, a few hugs were given, and some photos were captured to remember the experience forever.
The bridal party for AlexAnn’s Wedding will be one which I remember forever. The dresses were the perfect shade of cornflower blue from Bella’s Bridal. Family friends Lillie and Fran did a stunning job on every single flower arrangement. For instance, look at how the bouquets compliment every aspect of the wedding. And can we talk about how beautiful Alex Ann looked for the wedding. Her wedding gown, designed by Martine Liana and from Something Blue in Hartselle, Alabama, seemed to pull everything together.
AlexAnn and Bill were some of the sweetest clients we’ve ever had, and we wish them a lifetime of happiness. The entire Windwood Event Staff would like to thank you for trusting us with your big day!
