This past weekend, we had the pleasure of hosting Cameron and Andrew’s black tie wedding. From the beginning planning stages, the bride and groom both knew they wanted a formal affair. We were so excited because it was the first time a couple had chosen this option for a Windwood wedding! I had so many conversations with the bride and her mother about their vision for this day. It was amazing to see it all come together. We all wanted the perfect wedding for Cameron and Andrew and that’s exactly what we got! With blue hydrangeas and flowing dresses, Cameron and and her bridesmaids were simply stunning! The ceremony was held at the School Barn facing the dock. Windwood’s wooden cross crafted from Andrew Jackson’s barn, was a beautiful focal point during the ceremony. Cameron works in sports marketing for the Alabama Crimson Tide. She wanted to somehow combine her love of sports with her wedding. So she had the team’s mascot, Big Al stop by during the reception. One of the funniest moments was when Big Al and Windwood’s mini-horse Phoenix, were introduced to each other. What an amazing day! I wish we could actually do it over again this weekend! Congratulations to Cameron and Andrew, we wish you many Alabama football seasons together and thank you so much for allowing Windwood to be apart of this special day!
