Oliva + Jake’s Formal Outdoor Wedding

Meet Olivia and Jake. These two were an absolute pleasure to work with over the past year. The couple met at the 2013 Iron Bowl in Auburn, Alabama and the rest has been history. Olivia had a dream for an outdoor formal wedding with pops of blue. Her wedding planner Kendall Perry made that dream come to life at Windwood this past May.

These detail shots are to die for, seriously!!! Olivia’s details are some of my favorite of all time. Her earrings are from Ashley Wood Designs, a southern handmade jewelry company based out of Mississippi. The mother of pearl flower petals with a touch of gold-accented her bridal gown in all the right ways. Her Birman heels were simple yet modern.

Jake and Olivia’s wedding party featured a formal all-black and white attire. Olivia’s dress is from Heidi Elnora’s Build A Bride collection. You can read more about Build A Bride and Heidi Elnora on her website. Jake and his groomsmen were all dressed in Vera Wang suits from Men’s Warehouse. Can we talk about the bridesmaid’s dresses!?! They are simply stunning, and I wholeheartedly love the white dresses from Bella’s Bridal.

Ceremony

The ceremony and reception were a dream, just like the entire day. Olivia and Jake opted for a small, intimate ceremony in our field. The bride’s dad walked her down the aisle where she met Jake in front of an old wooden cross. White flowers and lush green landscapes surrounded the ceremony space. During the ceremony, Olivia hired Ruth Oneya, a live event artist, to capture the special moment. Live event artists come to your wedding and begin painting the scene, people, and details. Once the ceremony is over, the artist will take it back to their studio to finish up the details within the painting before delivering a finished product.

Reception

The cocktail hour and reception took place in Windwood’s stables and courtyard. The focal point of the stables was a round bar named Sam & Jimbo’s bar after the couple’s dogs. It sported custom napkins and signage that brought the two beloved fur family members to the wedding. Outside in the courtyard, guests were welcomed by an English-inspired floral fountain. Centerpieces featured white hydrangeas and blue and white Chinoiserie print vases. Guests mingled around the fireplace with a custom seating arrangement from PropHouse and danced the night away to music by the band, Powerhouse.

Olivia and Jake’s wedding day was beyond perfect in every way. From Olivia’s white lace-up heels to the chinoiserie prints on the centerpieces to the intimate field ceremony, we were honored to be a small part of the couple’s vision. The Windwood Events Team thanks you for allowing us to serve you. We all wish you the absolute best for many years to come!
