Last Minute Inspiration for your Spring Wedding

There is something special about getting married in the spring. Everything is in bloom, the fresh green colors have returned around our property, and the weather is beginning to get warmer. It’s the season of change! We are deep into our winter months and wanted to look forward to the coming spring. Hopefully, we will inspire some of our brides with some last-minute ideas. We hope these ideas will inspire your creative side, and hopefully, we will get to see some of these from our brides out here on the farm this spring!

Let’s be honest, spring is practically made for outdoor weddings. Embrace the warm weather, longer days, and the perfect sunsets of golden hour and elect to celebrate with your closest friends and family outdoors. We love this image of a ceremony being held in from of our Lady Banks Rose bush right as it is about to bloom.

Outdoor ceremonies offer unique opportunities to dress up your asile. We love the idea of a flower-lined aisle. The flowers offer a soft, organic focal point against our ceremony chairs. The concept is perfect for spring and the florals make it feel like an intimate garden gathering.

Incorporate Fresh Fruit

A rising trend that we have seen in the past year and expect to see this coming year is fresh fruit incorporated as table decor at the reception. Grapes and berries offer a nice addition to this purple centerpiece. The fruit is in season, adds a touch of deeper tones, and adds plenty of texture to the table scape.

Share Your Flowers

Couples often invest a large portion of their budgets’ on wedding-day florals. My advice don’t let them go to waste. We love the idea of giving guests a bundle or even delivering arrangements to nursing homes or hospitals the next day. In some cities there are even companies that will come pick up your flowers to repurpose for local non profits and care facilities.
